On June 16, Dr. Celia Hildebrand updated Chapter members and friends on the work she is doing in Western Ukraine, teaching acupuncture techniques to first responders for pain relief and to enhance mobility.  She is of Ukranian heritage and is a contributing faculty member at the University of Arizona (UA) Andrew Weil School for Integrative Medicine, in addition to being a Research Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and practicing acupuncturist.

In 2018 she received a Fulbright Specialist grant to teach auricular acupuncture for trauma, pain, and addiction at the Uzhorod National University School of Medicine in Ukraine.  She returned to Ukraine in May 2023 for several weeks to continue training health care professionals at several Ukranian institutions.
